The most important step is to chose the right color. Pick one that matches the color of your jawline exactly.
Dot the foundation on your cheeks, forehead and chin using a foundation brush, sponge, or clean fingertips and blend all the way to your hairline with long, light strokes. Continue blending over the jawline and onto your neck to achieve a natural, seamless look. Check your face and neck in natural light to make sure the foundation is completely blended in all areas. The product should disappear.
To give your face a velvety, natural finish, follow with a light, even dusting of loose powder. Dip your puff or powder brush in loose powder, shake or tap off excess to avoid uneven distribution, and apply powder over entire face and neck.
To maintain a flawless finish throughout the day, apply pressed powder as needed using a sponge or clean powder brush.
TIPS:
- If you are over the age of 30, avoid powdering under the eyes as it can emphasize the fine lines and wrinkles. Try to use powder on you T-zone only.
- For the best color match, choose a powder that is slightly lighter than your foundation.
- If you can see the product, you've used too much or need to blend your powder into your foundation to make it look natural.
